[She wasn't upset about the lack of contact. She was living with this and sometimes she didn't know what to say. It had to be awkward for her friends.]
yes, everything. I don't remember anything before I woke up. I have information that helps me know 'what' happened, like my diary and friends, but I don't remember myself at all. Even the fluid videos don't seem to tell me anything, other than that a thing happened that I can watch.
[Dying does suck. She can relate. She's done it before. Not in Deerington, thank goodness. She can't imagine not remembering anything about herself. Maggie pouts, looking off to the side.]
We're still going to hang out, though, right? You don't suddenly hate me or anything?
Oh dear, of course we're going to hang out. Why would I hate you because I don't remember you? [She offered her as reassuring a smile as she could manage] In fact, if you want to come to my place right now, you can.
[Because she might think she's repulsive somehow? Maybe she'll turn on her like Ava did out of nowhere? Typical hidden teenage insecurities.]
Yeah, you're right! I am pretty awesome. [Confident hair flip.] Are you sure you want company, though? I get if you're busy trying to...remember stuff.
[Oh, you are priceless. She was stifling a little giggle before she turned the camera on to reply again.]
And who's to say that I won't be busy trying to remember things about you today? I don't go to work until this evening, so I've got a few hours free for dinner.
[Maggie forgets to hang up due to her excitement. What can be seen is her running back and forth, mumbling things under her breath as she tried to look for the nail polish she actually bought with her own money. How impressive!
She eventually does realize she forgot to hang up the call. Oops. How embarrassing. She can play it off though.]
...Uh. What is your favorite color? If you don't have one, I can just bring them all.
[And true to that, she would. If and when Maggie got there, the door was unlocked and Vira Lorr was there in the front room, petting Winfield to keep him from lunging and barking happily, though he did bark once the girl came near the door.]
[Opening the door, Maggie first peaks her head inside. She looks to the left and then the right before she casually slips inside, closing the door behind her.]
Here I am! [Maggie holds up a whole handful of nail polish.] I brought extra reds just in case you didn't like a particular shade.
[She beckoned her over, a bit of a curious look in her face as she did so. From behind the counter, an absol peaked around and nodded before padding elsewhere in the house. Always on patrol, that one.]
So, this is a big deal for people painting their nails?
If anything is even a single shade off of what would look good for you, it'll totally look gaudy and it will stand out. Like using foundation that's lighter than your actual skin color. You'll look like a total clown!
[Maggie makes a face the moment the word clown comes out of her mouth.]
[But there is always the slight wonder of what is next after clowns. Ghk. Maybe it's best not to think about the future. Not like she does that anyways. Consequence? What's that? Some kind of cheese?
Maggie holds up the shades of red that she had picked up. There doesn't look to be much of a difference between them. But let Maggie tell it, they are completely different shades entirely.]
Now, which one. Cherry Blast? Crimson Masquerade? Completely leaving it up to Judge Magnolia Lacivi?
[She looked at them, curious. Wow, there were a few of them. But the shades definitely all looked very bright. Pointing at the crimson one, she glanced over at Maggie.]
I think maybe something a little darker, to match my hair?
[She followed her with a little giggle and settled in the spot opposite her while offering her hand to Maggie, winking.] You say that with such force. I could almost imagine you were telling me to give you my hand if I want to escape some monster.
[She laughed softly.] You, my dear, should never be accused of going for the basic. You've always had a very colorful style to you, after all. I think it works for you perfectly too.
[Ah, compliments. The one true way to work your way up higher on Maggie's friend list. Not that Vira wasn't already high ranking, of course.]
Of course! I'm practically a princesses. Or, well, that's what I told Fern.
[She pauses for a second before she resumes painting Vira's nails.]
Do you know Fern? It's all grass. Hard to miss him. But he actually thinks I'm a princess. I sort of feel bad for keeping the lie going this long but also not? It's nice to be treated like the royalty I know I am!
Mmmm, I do know him quite well. Don't take advantage of that, and I don't think it's too bad. I am pretty sure that boy actually needs a princess to protect pretty badly, and he seems like the perfect age if you don't mind a cute leaf boy. I definitely know he'll treat you like royalty.
